Knog's NEW High-Powered Headlamp Launches On Kickstarter - Tomorrow.
over 4 years ago – Tue, Jan 21, 2020 at 01:55:56 AM

Hey Bandicoot Backers,

It's been a while between Bandicoot updates... and we're excited to announce some big news. We're launching a new high-powered headlamp on Kickstarter - tomorrow (Jan 22nd, in Australia).

One of the elements that Knog loves most about Kickstarter is the input and feedback we receive from our backers. As a product design business, we rely on this user feedback to identify flaws in products that we might have missed. We also find the suggested improvements to be amazingly helpful. It is akin to having an army of field testers, and this feedback genuinely helps us to develop more innovative and better-designed products.

The feedback on our original silicone headlamp, the Bandicoot, generally fell into three categories:

  1.  Light output - Whilst our backers said they liked the 100 lumen output, the overwhelming feedback indicated that they were keen for a more powerful headlamp, one that would work for the most challenging of outdoor scenarios.
  2.  Strap - People loved the benefits of the silicone, but some users found the strap adjustment to be fiddly.
  3.  USB connector - The ability to charge the Bandicoot via USB was also really well received, but users wanted the USB connection to be more rugged and less prone to breakages.

Having listened to all the feedback on our Bandicoot headlamp, both the good and the bad, we felt compelled to develop a new headlamp with all of the best attributes of the Bandicoot, and many more.

We are now proud to be returning to Kickstarter to present the latest headlamp from Knog, the 400 Lumen, Bilby.

What are the key differences between the Bandicoot and the NEW Bilby? Let's take a look.

* Note, price refers to a single headlamp, at standard reward pricing (i.e. after early bird).

If you're looking for more power in a headlamp, or simply want to add another headlamp to your gear bag, the Bilby is well worth your consideration. It's an impressive piece of kit. You can never have too many headlamps, right?

Bandicoots are out in the wild
about 5 years ago – Tue, Apr 16, 2019 at 02:53:07 AM

Hey everyone,

We are very excited to let you know that the bandicoots have left the factory in China and are on their way to the distribution warehouses in Australia, America and the UK. From these distribution warehouses, the bandicoots will be sent onwards to their final homes with you.

As always, thank you for your continuous patience as we release the bandicoots out in the wild. Bandicoots are shy critters, so we are taking every precaution to ensure that each individual bandicoot is shipped with the care it deserves. The last thing we want is for your bandicoot to arrive at the wrong home or in the wrong country. Some bandicoots will need to rest over the Easter holidays, others will try to make the journey without a break. One thing is for sure – we are doing everything we can at Knog to ensure you get your bandicoot as quickly as possible.

Once your bandicoot is on its way to you, you’ll receive an email from the distribution warehouse letting you know.

Do you want to be a bandicoot expert by the time yours arrives? Check out the ‘How to tame your bandicoot’ video below.

Love,

Knog
